I splurged...

Well as we all know, it is getting HOT!!! For me, when it is hot I dont like to go outside, I avoid it at all costs. Now that my kids are getting a little older I thought that it would be fun to have something fun for them to have in their own backyard. A pool is not something we are looking to get anytime in the near future. Everyone in Ryan and I's family has a pool so we aren't lacking in that area but sometimes you just dont feel like loading up to go swim. So.... what did I do?! I bought the big daddy water slide at sams club the other day hee hee. Ryan was a little annoyed but hey he doesn't have to sit here trying to figure out something fun for the kids to do in the miserable heat, so there ha.

Needless to say the kids had a BLAST!!! We haven't got to use it a ton yet but when we have the kids loved it. How could you not? It's huge with 3 water slides and a pretty good size wading pool with squirt guns. I do plan on sitting in the water myself and no, it wont be pretty. I probably will look like a big dork but hey I will be cool!

The squirt guns are also good for drinking as well haha. P would just run across the wading pool it was pretty funny, they kinda looked like wind sprints :)
C & P were completely content hanging out in the pool area. Here she is doing what we were calling the army crawl.
Im pretty sure this was right before C hit her booty pretty hard because the water wasn't full enough to cushion the fall, oops lesson learned! I'm also pretty sure that's what lead to the "army crawl"
The troops headed up to have some fun. I'm pretty optimistic that I will get my moneys worth on this bad boy. I already have play dates scheduled haha. It should be a fun summer with our new toy woohoo!
Before I bought the big daddy waterslide, I went to good ole wally world for our annual plastic pool purchase (which is partly used for oakey). They really use these alot and they are so cheap that by the end of the season when they are cracked you just throw them away. Kinda ghetto I know but like I said no "real" pool for us for awhile. I'm not ready for that kind of hassle.
This year I decided to do a little upgrade haha. I got the one with built in slide. Laugh it up this was hours of fun! They had a blast on this little slide it really whips them down.

So between the two I should be set for summer. I'm so excited woohoo!!

awww!

A couple of weeks ago my sister had found this baby kitten at her house, she called her friend that is a cat lover to come and see if she could help it because it was still so tiny with no mommy :( Ryder, of course LOVED it! I really think I need to get him a little animal. He is obsessed!!! He could have held it all day...
Paisley loved it too! The next picture she looked like she was going to squeeze it like lenny did on "of mice and men" haha. Sounds like this kitten is just like having a baby, full time care. Im not a huge cat fan but really who could resist that little face. AWWWW..

Jaycies 10!!!

My neice jaycie just turned 10... My sister had a fun luau party and it was really cute! My sister does not skimp on her parties (not even kind of). They are always adorable. Jaycie had quite a turn out and all of the girls seemed to be having a blast! They heated their pool and it was so nice kinda like bath water but at this time a year I think that is perfect.
LIMBO!!! I had to laugh when Ryder decided that he was going to get in on the action. He was so cute! He really tried to do it the right way but then...
he decided that it was overrated and ducked and went under haha

Jaycies flexibility looks like her Aunt Julie haha. Actually back in the day I used to be pretty flexible but those days are gone ha.
Jaycie and all of her friends with the exception of a few that weren't there yet. They were like little fish the whole time!
Ryder LOVES his Jaycie! He lights up when he sees her
it really is SO sweet!!! She loves both Ryder and Paisley so much. I know Jaycie was torn because Ryder wanted to be glued to her hip and she had all of her friends too. I kept telling her to go play with your friends and ryder will be fine. This is your birthday party I kept telling her and she was just so worried about hurting his feelings. So sweet!!!

Bootsy baby...

When I was a little girl my nickname was "boots", "bootsy ann" (ann is my middle name). My mom told me that I wore my boots everywhere! No matter what I was wearing my boots went with it. haha. These boots P has on are a hand me down from one of my sisters friends and Paisley LOVES them!!! She cracks me up and reminds me of some of my old pictures of myself in my hillbilly attire ha. I love the picture above, how she is standing just makes me laugh!
She is so funny! More boots.....
She loves them! Everybody loved her boots and her dress. If she thinks she looks cute she will wait and look at you until you acknowledge her. Oh no, a little diva!
This is my Pais, her hair is done all of the time because this is what she will look like if its not. She is my little scrounga muffin. I really love when she looks like this (unless we are going somewhere).
Her latest and greatest is that she likes to be nakes. Not just No clothes but if she can persuade me with no diaper she tries that too. She has shown some interest in the potty so I try to go along with it even though I dont know if Im ready for my baby to be potty trained but then I dont want to miss the boat either, so we will see! She is my funny little girl!

I could just squeeze that lil tush! I love this little girl SOOO much even if she does give me a run for my money sometimes! She really is so fun!!

The Phoenix zoo...

Well last week my girlfriend and I decided that if we wanted to make a trip to the zoo we had better do it soon! The weather forcast was not friendly, our AZ summer is creeping up on us sooner than I would like. It really was a perfect day to make one last trip!
I have to laugh everytime I look at this picture! We were so excited that we had caught this baboon up front and personal! Personal is right we are standing there looking at him in awe and then he just starts peeing, all of the adults just started going "aahhhh" and then he gets up and walks away and there is a pile! What is wrong with this thing?! Ha anyway we got a good laugh.

Me and "P" she was so cute! At almost every exhibit she wanted to climb on the fence like all of the other "big kids" she was so proud....
I was surprised that Ryder enjoyed brushing the goats but he did. Some of the goats were HUGE!!! Serioulsy the heigth of these 3 little ones. Is that legal? ha.

My two babies!!! They really loved the ducks! Out of all the animals at the zoo, the ducks may have been the biggest highlight... what?
Well I really am glad that we got this trip to the zoo in. It really needs to be about 70' degrees to be truly enjoyable. We were pretty tired when it was all said and done. It's something about having 5 kids 3 years and under that is stressful. I will say this all 5 were so well behaved it just is tiring! Baby E was awesome in the little snuggly he hung out and then would just pass out in the not so comfortable positions but hey he was happy!

kite yoga

You don't get a much sweeter face than this it makes my lil heart go pitter pat! Last week we had the good ole proffitts over for a little bbq and some kite flying. We always love hanging out with them. Our kids love each other and frankly so do the parents haha. Anyway the wind was definitely brutal and tami had bought some $1.00 kites and yes her husband and I were making fun of her when she was putting them together that she was going to disappoint the kids when they snap in half right off the bat, but let me just say, jokes on us. Those little kites held their own and the kids had a blast!!!
Pardon the closeness of this picture haha. I wanted to get the kite and Cam in the picture I guess I achieved that, and everything else in the neighborhood haha.
Ryder flying his first kite he really enjoyed it! Paisley could have really cared less. I let her hold it and before I let go I said "okay sis dont let go, hold on tight" well she let go and I had to literally chase after the kite. Maybe next year!
HAHAHA! We think we are SOOO funny! Which we are. Needless to say the kids got bored and left Tami and I with the kites so to make each other laugh we started doing what we called "kite Yoga" you all should try it sometime. We were laughing at ourselves pretty hard! (No one else found humor in this but us). Please take note of tami's groovy hair blowing in the wind and the pointed toes. For those of you thinking of trying this it takes great athleticsm and precision.

Do you see this form? It doesn't just happen over night! FYI we are holding classes in the afternoon from 4-5pm in my front yard. Hurry up classes are filling up fast! Thanks Tami I love you girl we really are a bunch of dorks but gosh dangit were funny!

A post only a mother could love...

Just a random post to have a little documentation on the things my kids are doing right now... I'm a dork I know but I know I will appreciate this one day...

Ryder, my little 3 years old

You are my sensitive little man. Yes you have your moments of naughtiness but they are few and far between :) Ryder you are still very much into your Thomas the train. Everything from the trains themselves to the papers that come with the trains (and ID cards), tracks, books, and your latest and greatest.... you LOVE to have mommy or mimi ( or whoever else you can talk into doing this for you ha) go onto Thomas websites and look at the trains and print them off. You have a clipboard that you like to keep them all nicely organized on and if they get messed up you tell me "mama hewp these papoes are wacky" haha. You know every train and there are probably 100 no joke! You love for us to read about each individual train and some of them you know by heart. There are many books that you love, one in particular you know by heart and it truly is the cutest thing I have ever heard. It is called Thomas and Percy and the dragon and you know it word for word! Such a smart little boy! Everyone that meets you cant help but love you because you are so sweet and very caring. You worry about your sister if she gets hurt or if we are at a store and a baby is crying you ask me "mama what happened to dat baby? you need to hewp him". You are very into TV almost too much! I really have to regulate how much you watch it. It is cute you love to dance to all of the themes songs and of course I have to dance with you! If I shut it off you tell me, "hey mama what did you do dat? dats my TV" oh boy! You surprised me one day by counting to 10 in spanish (thanks Dora haha). You are a SPONGE its amazing the things that you know. You are taking swim lessons and we are working VERY hard on getting you to kick more but other than that you do great! You love your fruit snacks, PBJ, choclate, bean dip, bean burritos, cheesy chips, chicken, pizza, cheese sandwich, and that pretty much covers it. Lets just say dinner time isn't a lot of fun unless it's one of these things. I'm trying to get you to branch out and I'm hoping for a miracle! You love your plasma car aka "bike" you go so fast and can maneuver that bad boy like nobodys business! You love when your daddy comes home and you love to play with him. You love to go to the park and play, you love jumping on the trampoline, digging in the mud, climbing on the rock quarry (hill), being big on daddy's shoulders. You also LOVE dogs, sooo much. If I ask you who loves you? you say mommy does! and you are right!!! You tell me you love me and it melts my heart! I love you little man more than I can ever express, I tell you everyday that you make me happy and its true! You do! You are the sweetest thing that I love SO very much! There are many more thing that you do and say and I know I will post again soon (sorry peeps).

Paisley girl!.... 22 months
You are full of sweetness and SASS! You make me almost lose it and then you turn around and do something adorable that melts my heart. You LOOOOOVE your "B" binky. Oh boy that will be flat out TORTURE to get rid of and I am not looking foward to that, you somehow find one all the time and you are supposed to only have it at bed time or in the car. You talk a lot and have so many words! You said mama whino and I said rhino" and you said ya mommy, you love the rhino. If I ask you a question you say "ya mommy" pretty much to everything, too cute. You love to look pretty after I get you dressed for the day you insist that your hair be done immediately you tell me "mama haiwe". You LOVE shoes, it's hilarious! Lately you have been really into your cowboy boots, you have worn them everyday for the last several days and it is adorable you also love wearing mommys shoes too especially the animal print ones, uh oh. You have some glitzy stuff and the more the better for my little P. You LOVE to take baths you think they are the greatest things ever, you ask me several times a day to take one and usually when I tell you no you throw yourself down on the ground and have a fit. You love to do anything and everything your brother does, I mean everything, you like to take his silky and tease him with it, and take his drink and run, anything to get a rise and that it does! You love popsicles "paw hol" thats how you say it. You love to be outside, you like to eat (thank goodness). You like to dance. When we go out places you like to show yourself off to strangers (what have I created?haha) You show them your hair and your shoes usually. Pretty funny. You are SO much fun to have around and I have to laugh because it sounds like you are just like your me when I was little, oh boy! All I know is that I absolutely love you more than LIFE you are the cutest, sweetest and sassiest thing I've ever seen and I love every minute of it! You are a wonderful precious little girl!!!

A random easter...

When looking back at all my pictures from easter I realized we covered a lot of ground! I have pictures of Ryder playing naked in the irrigation (gross!). I walked outside and there he was, fired up! I just laughed and grabbed my camera of course but he wasn't dressed so naturally I didn't want to post them.
Of course we had 1,2 blastoff which even P got in on the action this time. Good ole Uncle Matt. Atleast it's a good workout.

Swimming? What? Who does that in April? I will say the spa was nice but the pool was freezing and some of the kids swam in that, no thanks. I of course couldn't tell my kids no when the rest of them were swimming. So in we went. Ryder in his Thomas undies and Paisley in her diaper. They had a blast!
I told you we covered a lot! Hunting for the easter basket, easter egg hunt, playing in irrigation, more easter egg hunting, eating, swimming, running and playing, riding bikes, and I know I am forgetting a few more of our random activities but you get the gist.
Me and my P. Gotta love her! Happy Easter!

Easter at Aunt Jens

Miss P pretty much runs everywhere these days. She literally sprints and she's getting so fast! I just loved this picture of her taking off in aunt jens and shmoops beautifully manicured perfect yard (kinda like mine haha).
This picture below is Ryan putting Ryder on the roof to get a lone easter egg (cant be safe ha). I look over to the yard and this is what I see. The picture above is Ryder proud of his accomplishment. Great job buddy! That is my neices adorable play house that my bro. in law built for her, how sweet is that. Im hoping that if I play my cards right I will one day take it home hee hee...

This is Lisa who is an extremely close family friend. My mom and Lisa have been friends forever and I have always looked at her as a second mommy to me. She is such a wonderful, beautiful person inside and out and I hope she knows how much I truly love and respect her. She has been such an amazing friend to my mom for so long and she has always been there for us kids if we ever needed her. Here she is taking Paisley around to find easter eggs, I really can't say enough about my little Lisa. I love this lil lady!

He's closing in, this is what my house has been looking like lately... playing and then it always turns into someone getting mad. Geesh! Sounds like me and my siblings when we were younger. Actually I love this picture they really do love each other I thought it was a fun picture showing them actually liking one another :) They enjoy chasing each other I was glad I caught this shot. Mwah to my babies!

Easter part 2

This is easter part two part one will be coming soon(i know im a dork) Well our easter turned out to be a great day! We started out this morning with my camera being dead (oops!) but luckily auntie krista and uncle matt came over to see the kids and bring them their easter "buckets" and she had brought her camera so I will blog about that part later after I get those pictures :)
Here are my babies and their easter egg hunt. I was actually surprised how much Paisley enjoyed it she was really into it and fired up to find the eggs. Ryder started out being kinda grouchy so I had to regulate a little bit. He has been so tired lately. Naps for him pretty much dont exist anymore which is actually ok but if he does happen to take a nap then he is never ready to go to bed when it's time which in turn he stays up too late and then it escalates into one tired child. After the first few minutes he snapped out of it and started having fun! :)
Here he is with his eyes locked on an easter egg he has spotted and I must say he looked SOOO HANDSOME!!!

Double fisting ha! My little Layney Lou was having so much fun and she looked so freaken cute. I went to the glitter box this week and found this little treasure that I fell in love with. Those of you out there with little girls know what I am talking about ha. I couldn't resist it and you could tell she loved it. She is such a fun little girl!

My sweet babies had a great time collecting their easter eggs! Now its off to Aunt Jens to celebrate with the rest of our family. Good times!
