Memorial Day weekend 2009

What a little Diva ha!

I LOVE CAMPING!!!! Honestly its one of my favorite things to do. Ryan and I camped a ton before we had our babies. We bought a trailer and we used it a ton! We sold it because we needed to get a toyhauler because we bought a rhino. Well we still have not bought another trailer and now that the kids are getting older its about time! We ended up renting a trailer which was okay better than the ground ha!

My little Ryder man and of course he found the other dogs at camp too. This one is mazarrati, yes! you read it right! He loved this cute dog!

This one is maggie! He really loved maggie! He searched for her every time we were out it was funny!
Roasting marshmallows for the 1st time. It was fun he enjoyed it for a whole 2 minutes haha!

A bath was definitely needed after day three. Ewww! These are the benefits of a trailer ha!
This was the worst part of the trip sweet little Waylon (above) was riding a quad and it rolled and he broke his poor leg! It was horrible!!! Thank god he had a helmet on! When I peaked in on him in his trailer this is what I saw.... he had a little dinosaur nose on, DEAD SERIOUS! So cute, poor little guy!
Cute face!!!
On monday before we left we all went on a rhino ride it was a lot of fun! The weather was sooo perfect and the kids loved it! We stopped at a little pond/lake where there was also a cattle ramp and pens. We had lunch and played for awhile it was SO pretty! There was probably 20 kids there this weekend it was crazy. Here is a small portion of them ha.
Here are my boys... I love this picture! Look at how beautiful it is! I really didnt want to leave.

Ryan was teaching the kids how to skip rocks. He is so good with kids. Everyone else was just hangin at the rhinos but ryan was off exploring with the kiddos. He is such a good dad, I just love him.

Here is poor Kooper, you wouldn't know anything was wrong with him in this picture but right before this, Ryder had thrown a rock into the water and kooper stood up right when he threw it and whack! Right on the noggin and the blood was flowing! I was freaking out because we had enough drama for the trip and I was thinking oh great another trip to the ER uggh! Luckily it was pretty small and was not going to require stitches. PHEW! Ryan had just explained to Ryder that he needed to be careful and they he CANT throw rocks when someone is in front of him and blah blah blah! Well that didn't work too well! Sorry Kooper! :( Ryder felt bad too!
This was P on that pit stop she really had a lot of fun ha! She was out, I know she would have had fun but she must have been too pooped out!
This trip had some drama like when we just finally get on the route to Payson and our friends truck blows up! Then the yucky weather the 1st day, Waylon breaking his poor leg, and Koopers poor head. BTW the truck blowing up and the broken leg happened to the same family poor things! With the exception of these things we somehow still had a wonderful time. We had a really fun group and I cant wait to put another trip together.

ISR swim...

This is becki, our fabulous swim teacher. I have had both my kids in a program called ISR (infant swimming resource) I'm a huge fan! It basically teaches your child to save himself if he/she were to ever fall into a body of water. It really is amazing! It is 4-6 weeks long everyday for 1o minutes a day. A little excessive? Not to me. My personal opinion is it is worth EVERY penny, EVERY minute of drive time, EVERYDAY! Get my drift haha. It is a little costly but once again TOTALLY worth it! Paisley was a refresher so it was $75.00 a week. This in no way substitutes supervision but as we all know drownings happen to the best of the best parents. I have a huge anxiety about drowning, HUGE! I'm talking nightmares, not good! So this is something I feel so strong about!

How could you not love it? Look at her! She is floating all by herself and can do so for quite a while. In this picture she if fully clothed! Hooded jacket, diaper, socks, shoes the whole shabang... its reality! She did amazing! When she rests like this long enough she flips over and swims (as best she can) and then rolls to her back again. She does this until she can get to the step or sides or in some cases until she is rescued. Pretty amazing eh?
She is SO good at floating even being fully clothed. At some point, I didnt get the picture though Becki takes off her jacket and throws it over her face and paisley has to take it off and continue to float. She did it every time remaining to keep her head above water.
Here she is rolling over to swim. Have I mentioned I LOVE THIS PROGRAM!!! Yes! I am obsessed!!!
Here she is with her daddy who was able to come and watch, he thinks its pretty cool too! A lot of people think that this is torture, really? Are you serious? They dont just dump your kid in and say sink or swim. Becki is a mother of four and she is the sweetest, most nurturing person, I just love her. She is sooo good with kids. Of course they may cry but it's not because they are being hurt it's because it is something unfamiliar to them. I can assure you paisley ended up loving it and becki. Now that it's done she still asks for betkie ha. The best part is... She does incredible in the water. She was different than ryder she has no fear so I think this program was even better for her but really who can say...

my babes...

These two crack me up! Ryder was playing on the floor and Paisley had to join him. She copies everything her big brother does. It's pretty cute. If he has no shirt on she has to have no shirt on, if he eats something she has to eat it too, pretty much anything he does she has to do or have the same. Even though they fight which amazes me for their age they still love each other so much!

Well we went on a bike ride and we usually make a pit stop at the park and play so the kids get FILTHY! So we went to take a shower and look who decided to join us hahaha. Oakey was sooo hot he couldn't resist the water when I turned on the shower, poor guy. I of course let him stay in as long as he wanted, he was in heaven. He really has the best personality he cracks me up!
The kids were so excited he joined us! We had quite the party going on, thank goodness we had 2 shower heads ha.

Yaya!

This is my "yaya" she got that name from my brother. He wasn't able to say grandma and some how yaya came out of that. She really is the BEST! She has always lived with my parents, so she has always been a second mom to us. She is now 101 years old (she will be 102 in august) YIKES! Up until her last birthday she has done AMAZING!!!! Unfortunately she has taken a turn for the worse. Her mind is going and it makes me sad. She can still walk but very unsteady. My mom takes care of her and although it is VERY hard sometimes she wouldn't have it any other way. She requires full time care now so my parents dont really get to do much together because one of them always has to be with her (mostly my mom). Hospice has started coming in as of a couple months ago and can I just say they are FABULOUS!!! A little gal comes 3 days a week and bathes her, a nurse comes on thursdays and a social worker on another day. They are really the sweetest people and they genuinely care for their patients. Its nice to because although it might not be a huge break its a little one for my mom. My grandma weighs 74lbs yes you read it right 74lbs. She is tiny! She doesnt eat very well anymore so every week they weigh her it seems as though she loses more. I'm not sure how that is possible. However we do call her the jelly bean thief, it's pretty funny, my mom has to keep stock on jelly beans and she has to keep them on the kitchen counter because my grandma feels really rebelious sneaking in there stealing them. I guess it just wouldn't be as much fun sitting next to her chair haha.
I'm so thankful to have had my grandma for SOO long! She is all I know and she was ALWAYS there for us. I'm also grateful that my kids have got to meet such an amazing person. As you can tell paisley loves her. She always goes into her room for visits and my grandma loves it. Paisley will always love on her which I know makes her feel good and me too! I'm also thankful that she has done so good for so long. I think that has made it a little easier for all of us. Yaya, we love you so much! You are the BEST!!!

My pooooor baby.... :(

See this sweet face? Well today we had her first ISR swim lesson of the year it is a survival swim program that I put my kids in. Anyway, the 1st weeks are always hard. Full of unfamiliar things, like environment, people, water ya know. So, of course she cried pretty hard. She was pretty exhausted afterward. After swim I had told the kids that we could go see mimi's new puppy bella. Seriously the sweetest, cutest little one pound puppy you have ever seen! Now, you see this poor eye? The one that looks like she was punched :( Well, I can assure you she wasn't. Here's the story... When we got to my mom's we played with bella for a little bit and then since she is a baby we had to take her outside to go potty. We NEVER go in my moms backyard because of the pool but today we decided that it would be fine for 5 minutes and plus I was obviously watching them. Ryder had spotted some old bird houses that my mom had on her back porch so he wanted one to carry around well that of course meant that Paisley had to have one. No biggie. My mom had grabbed one and looked inside and said oh my gosh Julie look at this it was filled with honey combs and dead wasps. Well when I was looking in it one had flown out of another house (i didn't know it) and I heard Paisley scream and then I saw a wasp fly away! My heart SANK!!! I totally freaked out because I am TOTALLY allergic to bees so for obvious reasons I was worried about her. I grabbed her and looked at her and saw the little red dot right at the very bottom of her eyebrow! I really started freaking out because it was on her face and pretty much all sorts of things were running through my head. I immediately called poison control and they said to put a cold compress (not ice) on it, give her tylenol or motrin and just really watch her for any allergic reaction, breathing, lips blue, etc... So I did all of those things and bless her heart you could tell it hurt SO bad :( I held her for awhile and she fell asleep which I was nervous about but it was on me so I was able to really watch her so that was good. When she woke up from her nap it looked really bad, like swollen shut :( and then it slowly has gotten SO much better. These pictures are so much better than the ones I took on my cell phone. Poor baby I felt so bad for her. I HATE wasps, bees, most insects. My moms house is a breeding ground for wasps I swear. Every summer when we go swimming we get bombarded! Papas outta town right now but when he finds out his little pride and joy princess got attacked they are going down to china town! Go papa GO!!!!!

bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles!!!

I think maybe the biggest bubble with another bubble inside that I have ever seen. Bubbles are great but when you are the distributor of them it gets old real quick. Everyone can attest to that! The problem is... that every kid (that I know) LOVES them!
Well, god bless their auntie angel, uncle jimmy and cousins, makenzie and hunter because for easter they got them this automatic bubble maker that you fill up and its a good hour of fun! They actually are over it before the bubble maker is woohoo!

They also got a little wand that produces some serious bubbles as well, so awesome! It's a little wand that you dip into a dish and push the button and out comes 100's of bubbles, sweet! I have spent many of hours dipping the wand and blowing bubbles all the while getting soapy and sticky (and tired). So I highly recommend these. Can you tell I'm so excited? ahhh the little things....

Paisley, aka "helmet head" played for an hour like this haha. She just really enjoys wearing a helmet I guess?

Toby....

Ryder is COMPLETELY obsessed with dogs! He loves them so much mostly all dogs he's not too picky. Our neighbors have 3 golden retrievers and on a daily basis it is not rare to see oakey running the fence line back n forth, back n forth. There is actually a worn out dirt path from doing this SOOO much! Just recently well I'd say a few months ago another dog appeared there and ever since ryder has been obsessed with this "new" dog. I was able to read his collar and his name is "Toby". We go outside daily so he can talk to this dog and yes! He actually tries to talk to him. It really is so cute!!! The picture above is ryder at the fence yelling "Tooooobbbbyy!"He hasn't come to the fence yet, so ryder asks his sissy... "hey sissy, where is toby?". Helmet head (haha) responds clueless, "i naknow wydo"
There he is!!!!! So excited Ryder kneels down and immediately starts talking to him about his family and all sorts of other things like what he is doing. Oh and the best part was that it was apparently toby's birthday, which is weird because toby was just a little puppy a few months ago haha. The other funny part was that it was toby's birthday for 3 days in a row.... now thats the kinda birthday I want. He even thought toby needed a cake bahaha!

This is my little man. Sooo him! The hand gestures and all. He is a very animated little boy he is so funny! He was really in to his conversation with this, no offense but not so cute dog!

"um whewe is he goin mama?" Ryder doesn't quite get the fact that it is a one way conversation and that toby is more interested in oakey but that's okay he is amused until of course he walks away!!!
