ummm not so much!!!

So my girlfriend and I got a wild hair to take our kids to go see the easter bunny. I didn't think that it was a bad idea since Ryder was a little confused on who the easter bunny was. I thought that maybe I should clarify what the furry little creature looks like and that it indeed is not the "bug man" haha.
The one brave soul. Good work C-dog. This little girl cracks me up she is hilarious with the CUTEST personality. I cant be around her without completely cracking up. She is so animated but pretty serious at the same time and she says the cutest stuff, I just love her. She is a very outgoing little girl so I am not surprised that she muscled up and gave the easter bunny a little love.

I thought the easter bunny looked a little sad in this picture and I had to laugh because there were our 4 kids pretty much not wanting anything to do with this guy and he just sat there like "Oh well" what a job, dealing with freaked out obnoxiously crying children for HOURS (atleast mine were). Thanks Mr. Easter bunny maybe next year!

Ryder was extra tired this day so he definitely was not in the mood. I think he was figuring that if he didn't look at him then he wouldn't have to go see him. Paisley was more like "you just stay where you're at Mr. Easter bunny" So all in all our April 2009 easter bunny trip was a BUST but hey atleast Ryder now knows he's not our sweet little bug man.

safety first

Well Paisley has decided lately that it is necessary to wear Ryders motorcycle helmet. I'm pretty sure that it weighs almost as much as her. I thought when she first wanted it on that she was just going to get mad and not like it but not so much. She wore it around for quite awhile even while she attempted to shoot some hoops haha. What you didn't see after this picture was her trying to catch her balance and started to tumble backwards.

The funny thing about my little sassafrass is she things she looks dang good!
This little girl has been giving me a run for my money the last week and half with her ATTITUDE and SASSINESS! I'm telling you what there are days where I just have to hide for two minutes so I dont go crazy! I can't believe the difference between boys & girls I've always heard that girls were drama and now I officially know what they are talking about. I have to discipline them completely opposite of each other. With Ryder I could look at him funny and he would stop what he was doing, however with miss "P" she either laughs or sasses me back! She has been extremely whiney which I am going to blame on the 2 year molars that I'm pretty sure are coming in. The other reason is that I think she is just testing her limits with me and the "terrible two's" are knocking on my door (do you think if I just don't answer they will skip us? haha). On a different note.... I will tell you this, I will take her being a little stinker any day of the week. She is an AMAZING little girl who I love more than anything. She is SO full of personality she just cracks me up. I cant imagine my life without her sweet little spirit she really has been so much fun to have around. I love my sassy little miss priss!!! Even if she likes to pick on me sometimes haha.

The Easter bunny!

Okay this just happened about 20 min. ago and I couldn't wait to tell the story. Last night we went over to our BFF's house :) and we had a night of easter fun. We hid easter eggs multiple times (me being the easter bunny mostly) The kids were in heaven. Tami kept making the kids go inside so the "easter bunny" could come hide the eggs over and over again. We also decorated eggs and they had a blast. All in all I think we got the kids in the Easter spirit. I only say this because Tami aka JUJU was on her way to go see the easter bunny this morning because one of her sweet daughters was fired up and ready to meet him. My little guy on the other hand had other ideas on what the easter bunny was and looked like. Sooo we are back in the play room this morning and Ryder was playing with his toys, the "bug man" caught his eye and he turned and looked at him and then looked back at me and said.. "Who's that mama? Is that the easter bunny" hahahaha!!!! I was dying laughing it was the most innocent sweetest question and oh yes he was DEAD SERIOUS!!! The things that children say CRACK me up. What ever happened to the fluffy white bunny?
On another note I think I totally freaked our sweet bug man out. I ran outside to take these pictures and he in a very nice way was asking me "what the hell are you doing" haha. I had to tell him the story and he laughed so I think he was ok with it.

Too sweet!!!

I love this little guy!
My little man has been on the SWEETEST behavior lately! I tell you what he is a charmer except when he's with his mimi (sorry mom) then Im chopped liver. He has just been such a good little boy. About a month ago right after he turned 3 he was a Sassy one I was thinking what in the world has come over my laid back little guy? Thank goodness that only lasted a short time (phew) I was worried it was like a sassy light switch went off in him.

Tonight he asked me "mama want to come way wiv me in my beeed?" I couldn't resist and I said "I would love to come way wiv you in youw bed" I really never do this and I should I actually love it and so did he. He has just been so awesome! One of his favorite things in life is to print off "YES" thomas pictures (actually its an obsession) but when we are done he always says "mama thanks so much fo printin off my pictoes" he melts my heart.
One more cute Ryder story (there will be plenty more I dont want to forget these fun memories). Today my sister in law had a friend in town for good ole country thunder. Anyway she just thought the kids were SO cute ( I dont blame her haha) but Ryder was the most polite sweetest little thing. While me and my sis in law were cooking she was so sweet and took the kids out to play and had nothing but great things to say about Ryder she was so impressed that he burped and said "excuse me", the pleases and thankyous and also how he counted the dogs next door in spanish ha ha. Good ole dora! She asked me if he was always so good and if he was ever bad, as much as I wanted to say yep he is always this perfect I had to laugh and say he's a really good kid but he definitely has his moments but I will say this he brought his "A" game today (and lately) haha. As a mom it really makes you proud when people notice those things about your kids. As we all know it's a constant battle trying to do the "right" thing by your kids. There are days where it seems like nonstop! "you need to be nice", "that's not how you ask, how do you ask" "are you being sassy?" the list goes on and on and on... So it is nice when they do it and your not even around to remind them :) it makes me feel so warm and fuzzy! The "are you being sassy" question is pretty often, its funny usually he will come up after to whoever he was sassy to and say "mama Im sorry to bein sassy fo you" I cant help but give him a BIG squeeze and tell him "thanks buddy"

betty crocker

I'm laughing because I just realized I have like 5 different sets of baking pictures of my kids. I kinda feel like betty crocker haha I have really been into baking with my kids lately. I dont mind the mess and I like to let them start and finish these fun little projects. They really think its great! Ryder really enjoys putting all of the ingredients into the bowls, taking a turn stirring and of course frosting. Oh and we had never made cupcakes before so he really took his job of putting the little liners in the pan very serious!
The BEST part!!!
This ole cupcake has seen better days but that is part of the fun. It's so cute to see how proud she was when she was able to do whatever she wanted to this cupcake she was in full control I tried very hard to stay out of it haha. Good job Paisley it's beautiful!!

SO serious! I love the concentration on his sweet little face. Dont worry to all who ate these cupcakes. They were not allowed to lick the knife until they were all done frosting.

strictly business!

funny stuff

The # 1 reason for doing this blog is to remember these times while my babies are little (that have already FLOWN by waaaay too fast!) The things they say, the faces they make, the questions they ask etc... This post will be boring to most but something I will never want to forget! Like the time last week when Ryder and Paisley had their own little conversation and it went like this... 1st off Ryder was sitting on his rug where he likes to put together his puzzles and paisley sat down by him, I heard ryder say, "hi sissy wanna hewp me put togever my puzzo?" and paisley responds in her little voice "ya wydo" then i hear paisley toot and ryder says "sissy, you tootin?" and paisley said "ya wydo". I wish I would have let them continue their conversation but I was laughing to dang hard and I had to grab them and kiss em because it was the cutest thing I had ever heard. So funny!
Another funny thing that ryder says... everyday when I get ready whether its just getting out of my pajamas or actually taking the time to put makeup on, hair etc... and a decent outfit he tells me when I walk out of my room "oh mommy you look soooo pretty, you kinda look like a princess" lol haha!!! Too bad he says it when Im completely scroungin it or when I actually made an effort. Watch out ladies we have a charmer on our hands. The first time I heard him say it he was looking at my wedding picture and he melted my heart, sweet little guy!
A little lovin for daddy! We were leaving the park and I was walking with Ryder and I saw paisley lean down and give her daddy a hug I love those little moments they are so sweet! They both love their daddy so much and I dont blame them he really is the best guy and such an AMAZING daddy.
VICTORY!!! He had to climb up the ladder to get his random thomas box ( this kid carries thomas items around with him everywhere) if you haven't noticed haha.

We have been having lots of park time because the weather has been sooo nice. I guess we are trying to really take advantage of it because before long we are going to be back to hibernation and trying to find fun indoor activities to burn the kids energy. I love when Ryan gets home at a decent time, he's always up for a little exercise and letting the kids play!!!

Break time!!! They are the cutest little buggers! ooooh I just love em!

She loves to slide!!! She will do it over and over and over again...
